HubSpot is one of the best-known CRMs in the world. Its free CRM is generous, its marketing tools are excellent, and its app marketplace connects to almost anything. For many growing companies it is the default choice.
Telagus takes a different approach. It is an all-in-one UK-based CRM platform that includes phone numbers, calling, SMS, bulk email marketing, call tracking and website visitor identification in one plan, priced per team in pounds rather than per seat. This guide compares the two on price, features and fit for small UK businesses, using prices checked in October 2026.
Quick verdict
- Choose HubSpot if marketing is the centre of your growth, you want the largest integration marketplace, or you expect to scale into a large sales and marketing team with deep automation.
- Choose Telagus if your team wins business by phone, text and email, you want calling and SMS to UK customers included rather than added on, and you prefer predictable team pricing and UK-based human support. You can start on the free plan before you pay anything.

How the pricing works
HubSpot charges per seat, per month, and is split into separate Hubs: Sales Hub for the CRM and pipeline, Marketing Hub for campaigns, and Service Hub for support. Marketing Hub is also priced by how many marketing contacts you store, so the bill grows with your database as well as your team. Professional and Enterprise plans carry a one-off onboarding fee.
Telagus charges one price per plan in pounds, billed annually or monthly. Each plan includes a set number of users plus allowances for leads, marketing emails, phone numbers, call minutes, SMS and AI.

| Starter | From £7 | Introductory offer; the standard rate is higher |

What a team pays in a year
| Team size | Telagus | HubSpot Sales Hub Starter (offer price) | HubSpot Sales Hub Professional |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 users | £340 (Starter) | £168 | £1,944 |
| 5 users | £690 (Growth) | £420 | £4,860 |
| 10 users | £1,249 (Business) | £840 | £9,720 |
List prices, annual billing, excluding VAT. HubSpot figures are Sales Hub licences only, with no Marketing Hub, SMS tool, call tracking or onboarding fee.
On licences alone, HubSpot’s introductory Starter offer is cheaper than Telagus. The comparison changes once you add what a phone-and-text sales team needs: Telagus includes phone numbers, SMS to UK customers and 60,000 to 600,000 marketing emails a year, while HubSpot users typically add a third-party SMS app and Marketing Hub for campaign volume. Against Sales Hub Professional, where HubSpot adds forecasting and much deeper automation, ten users would pay £9,720 a year in licences compared with £1,249 for Telagus Business. Features compared
Calling and SMS
Every paid Telagus plan includes at least one dedicated phone number and call minutes, plus SMS/MMS credits, so your team can call and text UK customers from inside the CRM, with every conversation logged against the contact.
HubSpot Sales Hub includes calling minutes, and calls can be logged and recorded in the CRM. SMS is the bigger difference: HubSpot’s own documentation says native SMS can only be sent from US numbers to recipients in the US and Canada, and needs Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise plus an SMS add-on. A UK business that texts its customers will need a third-party SMS integration alongside HubSpot.
Email marketing and automation
Telagus includes bulk email marketing on every paid plan, from 60,000 emails a year on Starter to 600,000 on Business, with a drag and drop campaign builder and, from Growth, automated email funnels.
Marketing is where HubSpot is strongest. Marketing Hub offers landing pages, forms, segmentation, attribution reporting and advanced automation, but it is a separate product priced by the number of marketing contacts, so costs rise as your database grows.
Lead capture and website visitors
Both platforms capture leads from web forms and live chat, and both offer AI chatbots. Telagus adds call tracking and reverse IP tracking on its paid plans, which identify which campaigns make the phone ring and which companies visit your website without filling in a form. With HubSpot, call tracking needs a third-party app.
Quotes, contracts and AI
Telagus includes a quote builder on every paid plan and a contract generator from Growth, plus AI credits for writing emails, quotes and contracts, an AI Sales Agent, an AI chatbot builder and the option to connect Telagus to ChatGPT and Claude. HubSpot includes quotes in Sales Hub and has its own AI features across its Hubs, which use HubSpot Credits included with paid plans.

Frequently asked questions
Is Telagus cheaper than HubSpot?
